“Patterns of Life” depicts the interior of a Cathedral in Sicily. The church was very crowded and even had a wedding in progress, surrounded by worshippers and visitors with cameras, including myself. In giving my impression of all the activity and the atmosphere, I began to just create shapes and patterns, not things. The people became humanity, surrounded by the light of God.
