“Patterns of Life” depicts the interior of a Cathedral in Sicily. The church was very crowded and even had a wedding in progress, surrounded by worshippers and visitors with cameras, including myself. In giving my impression of all the activity and the atmosphere, I began to just create shapes and patterns, not things. The people became humanity, surrounded by the light of God.
Texas artist, SUE KEMP, has been painting for almost 40 years and is a faculty member of The Art School of the The Contemporary Austin.
